Bassetlaw: John Mann MP hails the success of 2014 summer school
The event, which is now in its eighth year, sees 40 students from Bassetlaw travel to London for a week.
This year the students questioned leading MPs in their own select committee hearing on the impact of the Leveson Report and also met the Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow in his official state apartments.

They followed this by heading to BBC Broadcasting House and questioned Radio 1 presenter Scott Mills on his career and hang out on the set of The One Show.
Here is what some of the students who took part had to say:
“This week has been an experience I will never forget.”
“The whole experience for me was unbelievable, meeting people I wouldn’t normally be able to meet.”
“It’s been a life changing week and one that I won’t forget.”

“I am the only MP in the country to offer such an experience and I started it as I wanted to show these students what opportunities exist and are available to them.”
