Bassetlaw: New non-executive director appointed to hospitals trust

Alan Armstrong, 56, from Westwoodside, was a board-level director at the Japanese-owned manufacturing company NSK Europe Ltd until May and now runs his own consultancy firm.

His new role will see him providing external scrutiny and expertise, advising on the trust’s strategy and plans for the future, ensuring it meets its responsibilities and duties, and holding the executive directors to account.

Alan said: “I am looking forward to applying my experience and wisdom to the significant challenges within the trust, particularly supporting the Board in ensuring there is a consistent organisational capability to deliver quality improvements with and through people.”
