Bassetlaw: Survey finds residents are satisfied with GP services

The area is ranked as the fourth best in the country, out of 210 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), for patient experience and satisfaction of GP and out of hours services in the survey carried out by Care Quality Commission.

Denise Nightingale, chief nurse at NHS Bassetlaw CCG welcomed the results of the survey.

She said: “It’s great news to hear that Bassetlaw has been ranked so highly when it comes to patient experience and satisfaction with GP practices and out of hours services.”

“GPs are normally the first point of call for people when they are unwell and look after the health of the whole community so this is welcome news for the borough.”

“However we know that there will still be elements of experience which need improvement and the CCG will continue to work positively with our practices to support improvement.”

The survey measured the number of patients who reported poor experience, so out of 210 CCGs Bassetlaw was fourth lowest.

NHS Bassetlaw CCG is responsible for planning and buying health services on behalf of the area’s 111,000 patients.
