Pupils got the chance to get up close and personal to some feathered friends this week when a birds of prey demonstration took place in the grounds of Ranby House.

The activity was part of Year Seven English in which pupils are studying the children’s novel Sky Hawk.

Meanwhile, Year Eight pupils raised £1,144 packing shopping bags at the checkout at Morrison’s in Retford one Sunday.

Headteacher Christian Pritchard and teachers Christine Ruck, Martin Ruck, Maria Blanco and Rob Searle also joined the effort.

The Youth Leaders had already raised nearly £1,000 as the Osberton Horse Trials earlier in the month.

Their total will be donated to the Notts and Lincs Air Ambulance.

And Year Three and Four children showed off their acting skills in a musical performance of Cinderella.
