Bawtry will bustle this bank holiday weekend with live music, beer and nostalgia as the town hosts a Revival 1940s / 50s weekend.

The three day extravaganza sees a beer festival, bands and vintage centred around the Cooper & Griffin Real Ale and Wine Bar on High Street.

On Friday 23rd August popular Irish folk band Stafford Galli will give the penultimate gig of their farewell tour, in aid of Aurora cancer charity. Tickets are £5.

The Cooper & Griffin beer festival has more than 60 real ales and ciders to sample, live bands and a charity raffle for Help For Heroes.

Classic cars will descend on the market place on Sunday and everyone is asked to wear 1940s garb. Rock legend John Parr also performs.

And Scrooby based Respect Green Burials holds an open day on Sunday, with vintage cars running tript to and from town. See www.bawtry.org for details.
