Bawtry: Cadets take on the RAF Cosford March challenge

Cadets and staff from Bawtry joined other squadrons from Sector 2, South and West Yorkshire Wing to completed the RAF WARMA Two-Day March around RAF Cosford.

The march saw participants complete 40km (25 miles) of road marching each day, over two days.

As the team marched back into RAF Cosford, at the end of the first day, they marched past Commandant Air Cadets Dawn McCafferty, who took the salute.

After they crossed the finish line, despite being very tired, the team insisted they had a photo taken with her.

Day two saw them suffering with sore limbs but they were determined to finish what they had started.

At the end of a tough day, the team re-entered RAF Cosford, for the final time and ere applauded over the line by the various spectators and other teams who had already finished.

Shortly afterwards they formed up for the final parade, before being dismissed

Medals were awarded to all team members, as well as a team award for completing the event.
