Beech Grove residents support Louth skate park appeal

Members of Beech Grove Residents Association have come together to pledge a generous donation of £2,100 to LouthXsports for the creation of a skate park for the town’s young people.

The chair of the Association, Iris Newton, said: “ We are really happy to make the donation for the benefit of the young people 
in the town. We are thrilled to be able to help in this way.”

John Andrews from LouthXSports said: “We are so grateful for the generous donation from the Beech Grove residents.

“They themselves won’t use the skate park, but they have made the donation for the benefit of our local young people. That is really generous.

“We are grateful for all of our funders, and for the help and support of Magna Vitae and East Lindsey District Council, but we still have a long way to go.

• John Shuttleworth (aka Louth’s own Graham Fellows) will host a music and comedy night in aid of the skate park at the British Legion Hall at 7.30pm on December 12.

Tickets can be purchased from Off the Beaten Tracks down Aswell Street, or from the venue of the night.
