Benefits delayed due to strike action

MORE than 100 benefits cheques in North Kesteven have been delayed by the Royal Mail strike.

The district council is concerned this is not the first time this year. It is urging claimants to consider having their money paid directly into a bank account.

The district council is warning those due to receive a cheque during the strike that their cheque will be delivered late. A BACs payment can be set up to allow the money to be transferred straight into the claimant's bank account.
