Best In Schools voting closed

VOTING has now closed for this year’s Best In Schools Awards as the Worksop Guardian looks to reward your unsung heroes from the world of education.

Our extensive two month search for those people who make a difference, defy expectations and inspire others to be all they can be is coming to a close for another year.

From loveable lollipop ladies and dedicated pupils to inspiring teachers and eco-friendly schools - we hope to have shone a light on those individuals that bring a smile to you or your child’s face!

With 65 nominations spread over 13 categories - the response has been nothing short of remarkable. We have been overwhelmed by the number of nominations this year and would like to thank all of you for helping us find those hidden gems around Bassetlaw’s schools.

The Worksop Guardian’s Best In Schools Awards, sponsored by North Notts College, is in its second year of celebrating the shining stars from education across the region.

We had a fantastic launch last year with an awards night to remember.

The votes will now be collated and those with the most votes will be invited to a glamourous awards night at the prestigious Assembly Room at Worksop Town Hall on Monday 18th June.

Prizes will be awarded not just for teachers, but to all other people that help to make a child’s day at school enjoyable - as well as the kids themselves.

This was reflected in categories such as Best Lunch Person, Best School, Best Sports Team, Star Pupil of the Year, Best Administrator and Best Crossing Patrol Person, amongst others.

Once again, we would like to thank everyone for taking the time to nominate and vote this year.

Good luck everyone and we hope to see you this summer!
