A 41 strong team took part in this year’s annual Motorcycle Easter Egg Road Run from the Sea View pub in Skegness to make the 40 minute trip to Boston.

They were met in Boston by mayor Coun Richard Austin who joined the bikers to visit children in the Pilgrim Hospital.

Organiser Rob Horton said: “We went into the ward to see the children and to take the chocolate eggs and cuddly toys.

“They were pleased to see us but there were some very poorly children who were too unwell to see us.

“The eggs and toys have come from donations and the idea is to bring something for the children who are unfortunate enough to be in hospital over Easter.

“I think this road run has been going for about 27 years now.

“We hope that us doing this also gives a good name to motorbike riders.”
