Now in its eleventh year, the toy run sees motorcyclists from all over Lincolnshire delivering toy and gifts to both charities.

A spokesman for the toy run said: “Where we obviously give toys to the children’s ward, the Women’s Refuge require supermarket vouchers, toys, toiletries and clothing, as in extreme cases they may only have what they stand up in.

“Toys for the hospital should preferably be new, wrapped and labelled if they are for a boy or girl - and the age group applicable.

“Please note the clothing and toys for the Refuge must be clean and complete. The presentation to the refuge will be at 12pm in the Market Place. Donations can be made by anyone who wishes to do so and can either be left with the club or Hammer and Pincers pub until the ride, or brought on the day to the pub between 9.30am and 10.45am, or to the Market Place for 11.45-12pm.”

He added: “There will be a support car on the day to carry the presents, as well as Santa in a sidecar.”
