Sarah Stock, 45, of Billingborough, who will be joined by supporters, will also highlight the importance of rural hospital emergency departments in the county and the great distances between them.

Sarah says the event will also thank frontline NHS staff for their continued hard work by dropping off biscuits donated by supermarket chains.

Sarah added: “We are highlighting the distances between our rural hospitals and showing solidarity to encourage recruitment of medical and nursing staff.”

After a successful trial run with fellow bikers on May 7, she invites more bikers for the main event on Sunday, June 4.

The hospital services campaigner added: “Please wear something red to symbolise our Accident and Emergency departments. We will also be dedicating this ride to Ian Swain, an avid local Grantham A&E and NHS hospital campaigner who passed away last month. One of us will be wearing his red hoodie in remembrance of him.”

Bikes, scooters and even cars are welcome to join at any stage. Sarah is recovering from surgery for breast cancer nine months ago and only rode pillion on the test.
