Billingborough post office to close for refurbishment
The Post Office at 40 High Street in the village will close at 5.30pm on Thursday May 3 for the refurbishment to take place.
The new Post Office ‘local’ service will open at 1pm on Thursday May 12, providing two open-plan counters in the store, where the Post Office terminal will sit alongside the retail till.

Hide AdAs a result, the Post Office counter opening hours will increase by an extra 13 hours and 30 minutes a week ensuring that the branch is more convenient for users with more choice of times to visit. The Post Office service will be available during the store’s full opening hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Saturday.
Michael Brennan, Area Manager said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.”
He added: “We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs. This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.”
Local residents and small business customers will be able to access a wide range of Post Office and mails services, including Special Delivery, Local Collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals.

Hide AdOther services include withdrawals using a Post Office Card Account, sending funds abroad using Moneygram, and customers can also pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.
During the closur, customers can visit their nearest branches at Heckington Co-op Store on the High Street and Pointon Post Office, 48 West Road.
