Birds of prey stolen in Horncastle town centre

Two birds of prey - a Harris hawk and a Red Tailed hawk - were stolen from a property in Horncastle last week.

PCSO Nigel Wass said that the two birds were removed from an aviary in a garden in the town centre between February 16-17.

He added: “This is a specialist theft and we would urge people to be vigilant if keeping birds of prey due to the nature of the theft.”
