Bolsover: Students celebrate trip to Africa

Twenty-six students from The Bolsover School, Frederick Gent, Heritage High, Shirebrook Academy and Stubbin Wood School who went to Namibia to rebuild a school, have been presented with certificates to mark their outstanding efforts.

The certificates were presented Bolsover District Council’s headquarters in Clowne.

The aim of the trip was to provide young people with limited opportunities a chance to develop their self-confidence and provide a meaningful contribution to the Namibian community.

A student at Heritage High said: If I had to describe the trip, I’d say“life changing.”
