Officers were called after a gardener building a wall found the bones on the Main Road property.

A police spokesman said that 90 per cent of the time bones found in gardens could be from animals such as pigs and cattle buried during the Victorian era when there were no bin men.

They said pictures of the bones suggested they were old.

The bones, and any others found, will be sent for forensic tests if they are not easily identifiable from pictures.
