Natalia Vincukova, had applied for the licensing to sell alcohol for consumption off the premises from 5am until 10.30pm.

Following her application a groundswell of public rejection had appeared with an online petition recieving 907 signatures and a paper one submitted with 696 signatures.

The application also recieved an objection from Boston and Skegness MP Matt Warman.

However, councillors today agreed there was no statistical evidence linking anti-social behaviour with the number of off-licences in the area.

They approved the application subject to a number of conditions which were suggested by police, and one which was modified following discussion between the force and the applicant.

Following the meeting Mrs Vincukova said she was ‘happy’ with the decision and thanked everyone who had supported her.

Representing the objectors Stephen Shaw said he had come to understand that the police and council’s hands were tied due to the lack of statistics.

He said he had taken on the fight to pay back some of his loyal customers from the last 10 years, and advised that people should report anti-social behaviour and crime to the police to help the authorities build those statistics for future discussion.
