Boston nursery superstore in national spotlight

Pushchair Expert, which is based on the Cowbridge Business Park, near Boston Golf Club, was named as a finalist in the Best Independent Nursery Retailer in this year’s Progressive Preschool Awards.

The event took place earlier this month in the Ballroom of The Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Mayfair.

Now in their seventh year, the awards aim to recognise and reward excellence in product, retailing, and marketing across the preschool sector.

Pushchair Expert missed out on being named winner in its category, but was one of only six companies nationwide to make the shortlist.

The achievement is made more remarkable by the fact the business only launched last November.

Based in a 4,000 square foot former warehouse, it is Lincolnshire’s largest nursery store – and has plans to expand by a further 2,000 square foot.

It has been created by the team who have successfully run PushchairExpert.com – the UKs biggest online pushchair and car seat review website.

Owner Jo Studholme, a mum-of-three and former teacher, said: “We are delighted to have made the finals of such a prestigious awards in our first year as a retailer.

“We still have no idea who nominated us but we are hugely appreciative of all the support we have received from both the industry and customers since opening.

“We are very proud of what has been achieved so far, and even more excited about everything we have planned for the future.”
