Brave a spooky mannequin graveyard at night for charity

Mannakin, the mannequin recycling and hire business based at its self-styled '˜Dollywood' complex in Fulbeck, is holding an '˜Awful Halloween Walk' over three nights next week.

The walk on October 27, 28 and 29 has been dreamed up by director Roz Edwards and her team, turning the site into a spooky attraction where guests get to view over 20 quirky art installations in the dead of night.

With the help of artists Lucy K Brown and Dawn Williamson, Roz has created installations out of discarded ‘body’ parts which promise to be humourous and thought provoking.

She said: “We’ve been asked countless times what it is like on our two acre site at night and so in response to that we decided to create the opportunity for people to find out for themselves. Last year’s walk was a complete success and raised money for the Notts and Lincs Ambucopter.”

This year they will give ticket sales and donations to Mind the mental health support charity.

Entry is entirely at your own risk, is not suitable for children and includes swearing, trip hazards, real fire, strobe lighting and low lighting. Pack a torch, umbrella and alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for sharing after the walk. Wear wellies and warm clothes.

Tickets are £3 each, purchased via the Facebook page (search Awful Halloween Walk) or by calling 01400 272219.
