BREAKING: A17 shut in both directions at East Heckington due to fire at farm shop

Reports from Lincolnshire Police say the A17 will be closed for some time while emergency services deal with a fire at Abbey Parks Farm Shop.

Diversions are being put in place, but you are asked to please avoid the area while emergency services deal with this incident.

There are currently seven Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue crews in attendance, from Donington, Leverton, Metheringham, two from Sleaford and two from Boston, with the aerial ladder platform and the water carrier attending.

A Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue spokesman said: “We are attending a fire at a commercial premises on the A17 near Heckington. Full building involved in fire, the A17 is closed both directions."
