The proposed development, one of the biggest in the town’s history, was submitted in 2015 by W Crowder and Sons Ltd.

The proposed scheme covered a huge site off Lincoln Road, stretching all the way to Elmhirst Road.

The plans were withdrawn on Monday (July 2).
