Police and fire services have been in attendance at the scene since around 8.30am and are making the area safe.
Highways England said that Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service are trying to get an overturned vehicle onto the hard shoulder to get traffic moving again.

Motorists should be wary of long delays.
It is understood there are no fires and no one is trapped.
A fire spokesman said: “Please be aware and drive safely.”
