Budding Lincolnshire photographers challenged to snap up £1,000 for their school

A national competition has been launched online offering snap-happy Lincolnshire primary school students the chance to win £1,000 for their school.

Cartridgesave.co.uk is challenging children aged 4-11 nationwide to print off and send in a photo of something that matters to them.

Alongside each entry they must explain, in less than 100 words, why the person, event, place or object depicted is so important to them.

In return a panel of judges will award the photographer of the very best entry £1,000 for their school to spend on print or photographic equipment.

Two runner ups will receive £500 for their school and all three placed entrants will bags themselves a state-of-the-art camera worth £100.

Alongside the winning entries, the top 50 photos from across the UK will be showcased in a free-to-download-and-print photo album.

The competition has three categories: 4-6, 7-9 and 10-11.

Closing date for entries is this Friday, May 13, so get involved now before it is too late.
