Budding singer from Worksop lands job with the Disney Channel

Budding singer Harry Linacre, 20, was snapped up by US talent scouts and chosen to sing ‘Home for Christmas’, a specially written song which will feature on adverts for the channel over the festive season.

Harry, who is a graduate of the BRIT school of Performing Arts in London, was selected from a group of hopefuls earlier this year.

He said: “Being picked gave me a brilliant feeling and I am really proud that my vocals feature on the advert. It all happened so fast.

“It’s weird to think that children all over the country will hear my voice this Christmas. I have a seven-year-old sister, Mary, who thinks it’s all very exciting.

“I am currently studying Psychology at University but I am still very involved with my music- I don’t really have any choice as I come from a family of singers.

“At the moment, I am also the lead singer of the band and am hoping this opportunity will lead to great things.”
