“We are delighted with how the first BExpo has gone, and have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors,” says Claire Weingaertner, one of the organisers of BExpo. “We are now looking forwards to BExpo 2014 being even bigger and better.”

The event involved seminars, cooking demonstrations and guest speakers.

With the theme of keeping it local, the day kicked off with a breakfast business networking meeting with a presentation on Fairtrade and the story behind the brand. BExpo then officially opened with a constant stream of visitors which were a mix of businesses and the general public. The Food Hall was a great success, with cookery demonstrations from award-winning celebrity chef Rachael Green.

Under the name Bassetlaw Business Focus, three local businesses with offices and a presence in both Retford and Worksop - Createinn, Focus Accounting and The Best of Retford and The Best of Worksop - collaborated to organise the event.
