Aston Robinson, who runs Pelo Hair and Eden Beauty, has leant his support to the cause.

His premises was devastated by the 2013 flood, but is now adorned by flowering planters.

He is pictured (right) handing over £100 to (from left) Boston in Bloom chairman Alison Fairman, committee member Paul Collingwood, and Boston Borough Council’s grounds and open spaces portfolio holder Coun Claire Rylott.

His contribution will go towards an American inspired cottage-style display in white, grey and green with highlights of pastel pinks and blues and purple being created by five Boston in Bloom volunteers in the grounds of the Stump.

Organisers are keen for town centre businesses to get involved and are asking them to demonstrate their support for Bloom by, for example, ordering hanging baskets, improving their shop frontages, growing their own displays, or sponsoring new features. Anyone interested is asked to contact the chairman, Alison Fairman, on 01205 360743.
