Gainsborough police are asking for the public to come forward with information about any of the following crimes.

If you saw anything or can help in any way, please call 101 quoting the relevant incident number.

• A Morton house was burgled between 5.45pm and 6.45pm on Wednesday 8th February. Thieves forced a small rear kitchen window to gain entry to a North Street property. They searched the house and stole several items of high value jewellery, a handbag and a mobile phone. Members of the public are asked to be cautious of anyone trying to sell them jewellery, and report such instances to the police. Quote incident number 348 of 8th February.

• A catalytic convertor was stolen from a Peugeot car in Lewis Street, Gainsborough, on Tuesday 8th February. It was parked up overnight and the theft was discovered in the morning. Quote incident number 31 of 9th February.

• There has been a spate of thefts from domestic oil tanks in the Gainsborough area. The latest was from an oil tank in Newton On Trent. Residents are advised to be vigilant at all times and report any suspicious activity to the police. Quote incident number 240 of 8th February if you have information about the Newton On Trent theft.
