Can YOU take the Stoptober smoking challenge?

NOTTS County Council and NHS Bassetlaw are looking for people from Worksop and the surrounding areas who are thinking of giving up smoking.

Stoptober is a national campaign to support people to stop smoking during October.

As part of the campaign, your Guardian is looking for local readers who are willing to tell others about their own experiences when they try to stop smoking.

Support and advice will be available to anyone who is willing to take up the challenge.

A Notts County Council spokesman said: “If you’ve thought about quitting and don’t mind telling your story, please get in touch.”

“By sharing your experiences, tips, highs and lows, you may help others to quit too.”

To let us know if you would like to take part, email us at [email protected] or call 01909 543017.

Alternatively write to us at The Worksop Guardian, 21-27 Ryton Street, Worksop, Notts S80 2AY.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 21st September 2012.
