Cannabis in glove box

AN AUGHTON man was caught with cannabis after police stopped a car the was travelling in, a court heard.

The vehicle was pulled up in Grindleford, Derbyshire, because of the way it was being driven.

Chesterfield magistrates heard that front seat passenger James Luety was removed while ithe carwas searched.

“Cannabis worth £20 was found in the glove box. He said it was his and he intended to smoke it,” said Becky Mahon, prosecuting.

Luety, 26, of Aston Lane, Aughton, admitted to possessing cannabis on 26th February. He was fined £81 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
