Cannabis lands fine

Police responding to reports of a man with an axe discovered cannabis instead, Worksop Magistrates’ Court heard.

Officers found Lewis Marsden, 21, of Gateford Road, at his home with a small amount of the drug.

Prosecutor Ruth Snowdin said police attended the area after reports of a male walking down the street with an axe in his hands. They found Marsden, who matched the man’s description, with cannabis on him, but no axe.
