David Verity, defending, told the court Espin was doing his ‘level best’ to keep himself out of trouble.
“It’s a shame he finds himself in court because he is trying to turn his life around,” he added.
Espin was fined £100, and ordered to pay £40 costs. The magistrates also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
