Car and bales burned in blaze between Sleaford and Lincoln was arson say police
A car and 26 tonnes of straw bales were damaged in a fire last night (Thursday) alongside the main A15 road between Sleaford and Lincoln.
Firefighters from Lincoln, Metheringham and Sleaford were called just after 9pm to the scene near Temple Bruer where the bales and car were on fire.
They are said to have used hoses and a drag to put out the blaze.
A crew was to re-inspect the incident today, according to a fire service spokesman.
The blaze is being treated by police as arson.
