Fletcher Bradley and Cindy Orme from Walnut Care at Home won two of the nine awards up for grabs.

Other carers at Walnut Care at Home, Michelle Penketh and Michaela Wilkinson were finalists in two categories, and Dawne Findley was a runner up in another.

Fletcher Bradley, 53, won the LILP Newcomer in Social Care Award, after working for them for two years.

He said: “I am really proud to have received this award and be nominated. Thank you to everyone who nominated me.”

Cindy, 49, made up part of the HART team who won the Natwest Team that has made the Difference award. She has been working for Walnut Care at Home for more than 10 years.

She said: “To win an award as part of a new team providing a new service was fantastic. A year ago I didn’t even know my team members and together we win an award. It just goes to show when you have a common goal and a determined team anything is possible.”

This is the first time this awards event has been held.

Melanie Weatherley, chair of Lincolnshire Care Association, said: “It’s been an honour to be able to host this event and recognise the cream of the crop from the care sector in Lincolnshire.

“I meet brilliant care workers, nurses and leaders in the industry every day.”
