Carlton-in-Lindrick: St John’s to host annual civic service

Bassetlaw Council chairman Coun Gillian Freeman has chosen St John the Evangelist’s Church on Church Lane in Carlton-in-Lindrick, as the venue for this year’s annual District Council Civic Service.

The service will take place this Sunday (7th September) at 2.30pm.

The service will be conducted by Rev Jane Blatherwick and will include hymns and readings from Coun Freeman as well as the leader of Bassetlaw Council, Coun Simon Greaves and the council’s chief executive Neil Taylor.

There will also be performances from St John’s Church choir and the church band.

A collection will be taken during the service.

The proceeds will be divided equally between St John’s Church and the chairman’s charity, which this year is the Worksop Sea Cadets.
