Carlton: Man shouted at swore at police officers

Prosecutor Donna Fawcett said when officers arrived Richard Horsfield, 28, was waving down motorists. When they asked him to leave the area he began shouting and swearing.

Ms Fawcett said this behaviour continued for 10 minutes, and after police arrested him he became ‘extremely abusive’ to officers.

Horsfield, of c/o Sherwin Walk, Retford told magistrates: “I was drunk and things got out of hand.”

Horsfield, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. He was fined £200 at Worksop Magistrates’ Court and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
