Trustees of the Gertrude Morris Hall in Misterton plan to refurbish the hall’s car park and were presented with a cheque for £300 to get the ball rolling.

The money came from Bassetlaw district councillor Hazel Brand who donated the last of her councillor’s annual allowance.

She said: “The money will help the trustees make essential improvements to ensure the car park is safe for visitors and so that it no longer collects puddles of water when it rains.”

Coun Brand is pictured presenting the cheque to the chairman of the hall’s trustees, Michael Bird, with other trustees in attendance.
