Champion pair raise over £600


Jade Anderton and Abygayle Wood, who together form the Make A Difference (MAD) Lifestyle Team, set out to raise money for Five Villages First Responders and Air Ambulance.
Throughout August, the two girls undertook a series fo events, starting with a sponsored swim at Epworth pool which raised £140.

They then raised £20.50 at the Misterton Primary School leavers barbecue and disco, while at Misterton Co-op they raised £68 with a bake sale.
The fun day at Misterton Methodist Church raised £94.01 and it was at that event that the girls’ efforts helped other charities, too.
The day also raised £12 for Bassetlaw Hospice, £90 for the Methodist and All Saints’ Churches, £56 for Misterton PTA, £18 for Ladybirds Playgroup and £31 for South Axholme Sharks.
The girls completed their fund-rasing month with a table-top games stall at Epworth Show, which raised £80.

North Notts Lions also donated £200, meaning Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Five Villages First Responders will both get £301.25p each.
The girls have thanked everyone involved with helping their efforts, especially Co-op manager Brenda Gleadle for allowing them to have the bake stall in the store.
