The Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is to hold an open discussion on apprenticeships at the New Life Centre, in Mareham Lane, on Thursday, March 2.

The debate will give businesses owners the opportunity to find out about the advantages of apprentices and have their questions answered by a panel of experts. Those attending will also learn more about the apprenticeship grant for employers and have the opportunity to network.

The event is aimed at businesses which are not required to pay the Apprenticeship Levy and want to find out more about taking on an apprentice. From April 6, employers with an annual pay bill of more than £3 million have to pay an Apprenticeship Levy each month charged at 0.5 per cent of their annual pay bill.

The event runs from 9am to 11.30am, attendance is free and breakfast is provided.
