Changes announced to senior team at top of Lincolnshire Police

With the appointment of current Deputy Chief Constable Gary Knighton to the same role in Derbyshire, the new Assistant Chief Constable Craig Naylor will become Acting Deputy Chief Constable on June 26, shortly after he takes up his appointment as Assistant Chief Constable.

Mr Naylor, who has 28 years police service, will move from his role as Chief Superintendent and head of Specialist Services within Operational Support Division of Police Scotland.

The current Acting Assistant Chief Constable Paul Gibson has been appointed to a research project attachment to the Home Office. Moving in to replace him will be Chief Superintendent Shaun West who will take up his Acting Assistant Chief Constable role on June 26.

Mr West is currently the East Area Commander for Lincolnshire, having joined Lincolnshire Police in 1997 after serving as a Special Constable for three years.

He has served in both uniform and detective roles throughout his career, including local policing, Community Safety, CID, Professional Standards, Public Protection and Operations Support.

Andrew White has been appointed as Assistant Chief Officer for the force replacing Nancie Shackleton, who left the force this week. Andrew is currently the Chief Executive Officer for the Police and Crime Commissioner in Devon and Cornwall. He will have the responsibility for a range of corporate departments and be a member of the executive team. Prior to Devon and Cornwall, he was the Director of Corporate Services for Ofsted where he led the corporate functions in a large national public sector organisation.
