Charge your car while you shop in Gainsborough

The initiative has been introduced by Dransfield Properties, who own and manage the centre in Gainsborough, and the company is working with InstaVolt to introduce new electric charging points across its portfolio of shopping centres.

Marshall’s Yard is the first of the company’s properties to have the units installed. The refurbished Roseways Car Park in Gainsborough will also have the units fitted.

The Instavolt service is available to use on a pay as you go basis, with no subscription or membership required. Drivers simply tap their contactless credit or debit card, charge up and are back on the road in minutes.

Centre Manager at Marshall’s Yard, Alison Shipperbottom, said: “We know this is something many of our customers will welcome and we are delighted to be able to offer this new rapid charging service to our shoppers.”

CEO of Instavolt, Tim Payne, said: “As more and more people drive electric vehicles, having a network of places where they can charge up on route, such as shopping centres, will be incredibly important.”
