Charity cake sale in Louth in aid of Jacob's cause

A Louth woman is organising a charity cake sale this Saturday (June 10) to raise funds for the Children's Hospital' charity.

Corrine Barton is hosting the cake sale at at the Lincoln and Lindsey Blind Centre in Ramsgate, Louth from 9.30am-12noon.

Corrine decided to hold this event after seeing a story published in the Leader in May about Louth dad, Nick Jessel who has wowed to raise £100K for Sheffield Hospital which is currently treating his son Jacob (7) who is battling a rare bone marrow disorder.

“I know how it feels to have one child in hospital and having to find time to look after another at home,” Corrine said.

“I just saw the story and wanted to help.”

Corrine’s son William had open heart surgery in 2014 at just a week old, and she also had to split her time to care for her daughter Evie, who was two at the time.”

Everyone is welcome to attend the sale.
