The Mayor has announced that Disney ward will be his chosen charity of the year, after two of his grandchildren received treatment from the service. He said: “I wanted to choose a charity that supports children locally and Disney ward seemed the perfect option. “I was delighted to be given a tour of the ward by staff and get an insight into the type of everyday work and facilities used. I will have several events planned throughout the year including my big event, the Mayor’s party in April next year.”
