Climbing in support of dementia charity

Charlotte Jarman, 23, works for Sophie Allport, a Stamford-based homeware business, and will be joined by colleagues in the Ben Nevis climb on Friday, June 12.

They are supporting the Alzheimer’s Society, the UK’s leading dementia support and research charity.

Charlotte’s mother Alison Jarman, 59, was diagnosed in 2011. Charlotte said: “My mum being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s changed all of our lives dramatically.

“I would love to raise as much as possible so somewhere another family can be helped and given the support that we desperately needed at at that time.”

Sophie Allport has pledged to donate 10 per cent of retail sales of the English Country Garden mug in 2017 to the charity. They are also holding a cake sale in June for the same cause.

Joining Charlotte on the climb will be co-workers Amelia Palfreyman, Bridget Vergette, Harriet Mackie, Jem Allport, Keeley Walters, and Pippa Rymer.
