Clowne: New vet surgery is officially opened by acting star Steven Blakley

Carrick Veterinary Group celebrated the opening of its new surgery in Clowne with an open day.

It was officially opened by local actor Steven Blakely, best-known for his role in Heartbeat.

Guests were also able to tour the surgery which is now based in the former council office on Church Street.

Among the improvements are operating and x-ray facilities enabling vet Brian Sargeant and his team to carry out routine surgical procedures and x-rays in Clowne rather than transferring pets to the main branch in Chesterfield.
