Clowne: Record number of entries for festival

The 2013 Bolsover Festival of Brass has proved a huge success before a note has even been played

A total of 43 bands have entered the five-section contest on Sunday, 6th October, beating the previous year’s total of 32.

The festival will be held at Heritage High School in Clowne starting at 9.30am.

There is a very strong field of 10 bands in the championship section and 14 bands in the first section, which in itself is a record entry for the contest.

Adjudicators will be David Read, Dr Keith Wilkinson and David Horsfield and tickets for the event are available on the door at £5 and £4 concessions.
