COMMUNITY: Befriending volunteers needed

Volunteer befrienders are urgently needed for several Gainsborough-based charities, to offer some friendship and company to an older person or someone living with a disability.

Volunteers could help with shopping and hobbies, or simply enjoy a chat over a tea and biscuit.

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone interested in gaining experience in the caring sector, or who also finds themselves seeking some company and friendship.

Training and support is provided. This role does not involve any personal care, and anyone aged 18 to 100 could get involved.
