COMMUNITY: Chance for young people to have a say

The district council is still trying to recruit young people from rural areas to BYC.

Transport can be arranged and paid for, and membership is a great thing to have on your CV.

The next BYC meeting is on Thursday, October 6. It will be held at 5.30pm at North Notts College (but a young person attending any secondary school or college is invited).

The main topic will be Hate Crime.

The Worksop college has a programme they use to raise awareness – and it will be good to hear what other schools and colleges are doing, too.

A council officer, Gerald Connor, is coming to talk about how we report hate crime and what is currently in place to tackle it in the district.
