The society found the disabled access to be very good and, with the use of the lift, were able to see all exhibitions close up.

The volunteers were very knowledgeable and were able to answer the questions asked by the residents who thoroughly enjoyed telling them their stories from years gone by, it brought back a lot of memories for them.

The staff were extremely helpful and encouraged the residents to reminisce as they went round.

After the tour, members visited the tea room and were looked after extremely well by the volunteers of the centre, enjoying a nice cup of tea and a rather large piece of home made cake.

On behalf of the residents of Redcote, the society would like to say a very big thank you to all the staff at the heritage centre for making their visit so enjoyable, it is truly an asset to Gainsborough and the local heritage.
