COMMUNITY: Gainsborough Organ Society

Thursday, February 25, local man Robert Davies from Warsop. Robert has been involved in the organ world for 40 years and is well respected and always popular on the organ circuit, where he plays for dancing and in concert. Such is his ability that he represents the famous German organ manufacturer Bohm at all the festivals, having had a hand in their design. Whilst his own Bohm is 20 years old, it has all the latest works data fitted which makes it more complete than the very latest top of the range models, due to him fitting the latest printed circuits, and keeping the original ones in place.

In addition to his connection with Bohm and his many trips to the factory, he is also a relief church organist and school pianist, and has been the musical director for many shows during the summer seasons over many years. Such is the demand for his services.

The Weston rooms, Hickman Street, Gainsborough, 7.30pm with payment on the door. Everyone welcome for a night’s entertainment of the top order.
