Thursday, January 28, Chris Powell from Derbyshire. Chris is a world class travelling star, having represented all the major organ companies at festivals throughout the world, in addition to his own concert tours in USA, New Zealand and Australia. He is also the chief demonstrator for the world famous Roland organs and equipment, and it is on the very latest model he will be performing at Gainsborough.
In addition, together with another top organist Brett Wales, he has formed a company which produces four day music festivals throughout the country, which are normally sold out well in advance. Always popular wherever he performs, he plays such a varied programme of popular music, there is always a demand for him to return. He started his career at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool, where he played for dancing but has always done his own thing since then.
